Koraput

Started From Howrah Station at 9.30 pm by Samleshwari Express
Reached Koraput at 8pm next day. After that took a auto to reach Hotel. Hotel Alishan is the best hotel situated at 3km from station. Took our meals at the hotel. Also booked a car for sightseeing for next 3 days.

1st day visited gupteshwar temple. The temple is situated on top of the hill. You have to get up 200 stairs and then get down in a cave to reach the temple. Also at the back of the temple river kolab goes past. Also many caves are there

2nd day visited Deomali Peak. Its the highest Peak in Odisha and tallest peak in Eastern Ghat. The road leading to Deomali Peak is beauty and is full of scenery. From top of Deomali Hill the surrounding areas took flabolous. After that visitied Damanjodi to see 2 temples and then visited dumriput

3rd day visited Duduma Waterfall. There are 3 falls there. If u get down 200 steps you can see all the three falls. From above only 2 can been seen. After Duduma visit the local tribal market to see Bonda tribe.
After that visited Nandapur to see Batirish singashan and subai jain temple.

On the 4th day in the morning caught train to be back to kolkata.

Tajpur

Brought train ticket for ramnagar from howrah. Book Tajpur Nature Camp.
17/8/14
Boaded Tamralipta Express from Howrah at 6.40 am. Reached ramnagar at 9:45 am. From there our car from hotel took us to the hotel.
Room rent 1800/- AC cottage.
Meal package 500/- per head per day.
Beach is 2 min from hotel. We visited the beach . There were red crabs everywhere.
Took fish meal in noon.
In the afternoon visited the beach again.
In night took chilly chicken and roti.

In morning went to beach and had a walk for 2 hrs. Seen many red crabs.
Then came back and took breakfast.
In noon took pawn meal.
In the afternoon again went to beach.
In the night took chicken meal.
19/8/14
In the morning took breakfast and then came to station to catch train.
Reached howrah at 2 pm.

Mukutmonipur

5/4/14

Started from home at 5 am and reached Satragachi station at 5.30 am. Our train Rupashi Bangla Express was waitiong for us in platform no 1.

It started it journey at 6.25 am. I had booked  3 seats in A/C chair car.

It reached Bankura at 10 am.  From there we booked a car which took us WBFDC resort at mukutmonipur at a cost of RS 800/-.

We booked a A/C cottage Shal ( RS 1700/-) with extra cot for 2 days .

At Lunch took Chicken meal.

After taking lunch went to Hill Top View Point from where the dam looks good.

At evening took a motorized van rickshaw over the dam till SHIV MANDIR temple. It cost Rs 120/-

During sunset the water becomes yellow in colour.

At evening took veg pakora as snacks with tea.

At night took egg meal

6/4/14

In the morning took breakfast with puri and sabji.

Then went to visit Ambikanagar where there is durga mandir, a shiv mandir and ruins of  maharja palace. Gave puja at durga mandir.

At lunch took chicken meal.

At night took egg meal.


7/4/14

In the morning took breakfast with bread butter.

In lunch took chicken meal.

After lunch we started our journey back to bankura station .

Boarded our train Arayanak Express an reached Satragachi at 7 pm.

GARHPANCHOKOT

FROM 19/1/14 TO 21/1/14

Booked WBFDC Resort online . Also booked train ticket early and car.

Practically, every tour party, unless having their own car take the pick-up and dropping service provided by Mr Amit Gope, ( telephone number is 97321-84195), who is actually the official transport provider of the WBFDC who runs the resort at the Garhpanchakot as well as to the forest rangers.

19/1/14
Boarded Black Diamond Express from Howrah on 19/1/14 at 6.15 am. Reached Asansol at around 9.50 am.

 We boarded the car which we had booked early via resort. It cost Rs 700/-

Reached resort at around 11 am. It took 1 hr to reach Garhpanchokot from asansol.

Took  lunch- chicken meal

After Lunch moved around the resort complex. Its a big complex having 6 cottages.

In The evening took veg pakora ( RS 40/-)and tea.

At around 9 pm took our dinner which was egg meal.

20/1/14

   At around 7 am in morning got up from bed.
 Took our breakfast at around 8.30 am.---- Aloo Paratha with 2 banana and sweet ( Rs 80/-)

After our breakfast  went out for our local  sightseeing. The car cost 1100/-

First we visited the Panchet Dam and Park beside it.  After that we visited the Muradi Dam. Then visited Birichibaba Mandir/ Palat Bhuveneshwar.

After That visited the Ruins Of Garhpanchokot.

After which we came back to the resort and took our Mutton meal( Rs 175/-)

At the evening took veg pakora and tea as usual.

In night around 9 pm took our egg meal.


21/1/14

After our breakfast with bread and butter we took our car to reach asansol station to catch our train Patna Howrah Jana Shatabi Express. It was 20 min late.

Reached Howrah at around  14 pm.

Paren-A Hidden Hamlet

Booked  two WBFDC cottages online ( cost Rs1200 per cottage + tax). Booked Kanchankanya Exp for Up Journey  and Padatik Exp for Dn Journey.

14/11/2013

  Had to get down in NJP as the train was diverted. Booked a car to drop us at New Mal Jn ( Rs1000/-). At New Mal Jn our booked car was waiting for us. It took 2 hrs to reach Paren. Car Cost( Rs 1500/-).
The road condition is very bad.
  After reaching there we unpacked our luggage. Took lunch chicken meal. After Lunch went to visit the nearby village.

    At night took Roti and Egg Curry.

15/11/2013
      In the morning took Breakfast with ALoo Paratha. Then went to visit Dhouley View Point which 3 km  walking distance through forest from the cottages.
      From Douley we could see Jaldhaka River and its surrounding.

      In Lunch took EGG MEAL.

     After lunch took rest and then took local photographs. Moon Rise was great to see from this place

        In dinner we took chicken curry with roti

    After Lunch we packed our luggage and got in the car to drop us in NJP.
On the way visited Jhalong River Camp.

DIAMOND HARBOUR


1/9/13

Sunday morning went to Esplanade to catch Govt bus to Diamond Harbour. Took 9 am kakdeep bus to Diamond Harbour. Bus fare rs 80/- for 3 person


Reach Diamond Harbour at around 11 am. Got down at old jetty ghat stop. From there went to Sagarika Hotel. Booked a A/C double bed room for RS 1600/- + tax. It was front facing room. From the room can see the river.

At around 12.30 took our  lunch with rice, dal, aloo bhaja, fish, chicken. 

Then around 4 pm went out to see the river from new jetty ghat. After visiing came back to hotel and sat on the banks of the river.

At around 7.30 pm took our dinner at Moms Kitchen, Benfish. Took roti and chicken kasa.

In the morning took our complimentary breakfast and then came back to kolkata by A/C bus run by transport corporation.
B us fare RS 65/- each.

We went their by Testa Torsa Express from sealdah at 13.30 hrs. Reach NJP at 2.40 am. Took a private car( Rs 2700/-      ) to reach tinchuley at  8.30 am      .Returned via Kanchankanya Express.
The word Tinchuley stands for three chullas (chulla means oven), and this is represented by three prominent hill tops that resembels the three chullas. It is an upcoming tourist destination of the region. Tinchuley is a remote hamlet located close to Darjeeling which can be reached through a drive of 32 kilometers. It is at a distance of 80 kilometers from Siliguri, 35 kilometers from Kalimpong and 88 kilometers from Gangtok. The inhabitants of this quiet settlement took an initiative for establishing their locality as a model organic village. With the help of organizations such as the WWF, the village has developed Village Home Stays. The villagers also showed keen interest in modern farming and with the help of WWF they developed floriculture, vermiculture, organic projects.
It provides stunning Himalayan views with the Majestic Kanchanjunga towering over the entire region. After reaching there took a village walk to see different families. At 1 pm took lunch provided by gurung's family.
In the evening clouds surrounded us from every where. It was very cold in the afternoon.
At 8.30 pm took our dinner.

In the morning could see the himalayan range form our guest house.Went for sightseeing to tea garden, orange garden,lamahata( a new destnination), lover meet point and tribeni. The trip costed Rs 1800/-.
In the afternoon again clouds surrounded us and the atmosphere was beautiful to enjoy.

Could not see the sunrise fully. In morning visited the tinchuley view point to see the valley and surrounding view.
After lunch took a car( Rs 2500/-) to reach NJP to catch the train.

Reach Sealdah.
